Having over 30 combined years in SBA lending and commercial real estate lending has allowed Richard to gain invaluable knowledge and expertise in loan process efficiency.  Most recently, Richard served as a Vice President of loan production for a leading provider of SBA 504 loans in the State of Texas.  He has extensive experience in underwriting various loan sizes in commercial real estate including SBA 504 and SBA 7a loans, term loans and lines of credit.

 

Prior to joining NTCDC Richard has held positions as CEO and Senior Vice President of community banks and credit unions throughout the state of Texas. During the banking crisis in 2008 – 2011, Richard managed a team of asset managers assisting the FDIC in closing and the eventual sale of a $17 Billion Dollar failed bank in Southern California.

 

Mr. Grimes has participated as a speaker on numerous panels for commercial lending discussions and commercial bank lender’s round tables.  Richard has worked with numerous small businesses throughout the State of Texas consulting and advising them as a trusted advisor.

 

Richard is a University of Texas Alum with a BBA in Finance. He has served in various capacities on non-profit boards and is currently a Board Member at Large for the North Texas Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders.
